In 2007 Annette Obrestad entered a 180 seat $4 buy-in sit 'n' go online poker tournament. She claims to have only looked at her cards once during the entire tournament when faced with an all-in bet, stating that she otherwise played effectively blind to emphasise "how important it is to play position and to pay attention to other players at the table"... She won the tournament.
Annette Obrestad is a Norwegian Poker pro who has been associated with Betfair and Full Tilt Poker. She holds the record for youngest person ever to win a World Series of Poker Bracelet.
Obrestad started playing online poker at age 15 (using the screen name 'Annette_15' to mark this fact), and built her first bankroll purely out of freeroll tournament wins. Annette went on to turn this bankroll into hundreds of thousands of dollars, winning over $500k between September of 2006 and February 2007 at PokerStars alone.
Continuing with her approach of winning big money from very little to nothing at all, in early March of 2008 Obrestad entered the PokerStars Sunday Hundred Grand tournament as one of 20,000 players. From a buy-in of only $11 she took first place and a $20,000 prize.
Obrestad's total live tournament winnings (as of 2010) amounted to well in excess of $3 million, the majority of which came from her single WSOPE cash. She also ranks top of the Norwegian Poker Players All-time money list.
