2017 WSOP Europe Main Event Winner Guaranteed €1 Million

King's Casino will play host to the 2017 WSOP Europe from Nov. 4-10. And they're doing everything in their power to make this year's WSOPE a very special one. This includes raising the guaranteed prize pool for the WSOP Europe Main Event from €4,000,000 to €5,000,000.

In addition to increasing the €10,350 Main Event prize pool, the winner is guaranteed to take home at least €1,000,000.

"We are encouraged by the number of early bookings for the WSOPE, so much so that we’ve raised the total guarantee of the Main Event to €5,000,000 and now guarantee €1,000,000 to the winner," said Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King's Casino. "My advice is to book now and secure your spot."

2017 WSOP High Roller Already Has Over 90 Players

Aside from the Main Event's early popularity, Tsoukernik said that the WSOP Europe €111,111 High Roller is already closing in on its 111-player cap.

He explained that over 90 players have committed to buy into Europe's richest poker tournament, which begins on November 3. Among the early entrants include Antonio Esfandiari, Gus Hansen, Fedor Holz, Liv Boeree, Patrik Antonius, Phil Hellmuth, and Tony G.

"The demand is strong and I have given up my own seat and will play host instead," Tsoukernik said when discussing the large number of entries. "My €11,000 deposit will go to One Drop."

Full Schedule for 2017 WSOP Europe

Held in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, the 2017 WSOP Europe will feature 11 bracelet events. The first of these bracelet tournaments begins on Oct. 19 with the €1,100 buy-in Monster Stack NL Hold'em. This tourney is expected to be huge thanks to its small buy-in and €500,000 guaranteed prize pool. And this is why 3 starting flights have been scheduled.

King's Casino Expands to Host 2017 WSOP Europe

King's Casino is so serious about throwing the best WSOPE that they expanded just for this tournament series. King’s added 1,800 square meters to their casino floor, which will house 40 extra poker tables.

This venue will also unveil a new hotel wing with over 200 additional rooms prior to the partypoker German Poker Championships (Aug. 3-15). This may not be the WSOP Europe, but the German Poker Championships is big in its own right with €2,000,000 in guaranteed tourneys.

"Last year alone, we brought over 250,000 poker players to Rozvadov," Tsoukernik said. "Although this is already a great result for a town of 500, I believe we will be able to double that number as soon as our plans for expansion are completed and people get the opportunity to come here for a proper poker holiday."

The 2017 World Series of Europe will mark the ninth time that this fine poker event has run. And the highlight is always the Main Event, which, as mentioned before, will pay at least €1 million to the winner.
