PKR launches iPad App for UK Players
By RTR Dennis
PKR has long been known as the premier destination for innovative 3D software and an incredible all-encompassing online poker experience. And now this site has become one of the few mobile poker options out there since they’ve released an iPad app for UK players.
The iPad application is called PKR Poker 3D, and it enables Brits to play ring games and sit and go’s. Multi-table tournaments aren’t available at the moment, but they should be added in the near future. Players can also expect this poker room to become compatible with Androids and iPhones as CEO Leon Walters stated:
This release represents one of the most significant steps forward for PKR since our inception in 2006. We aim to quickly follow this first phase of our efforts to reach the growing mobile poker audience with iPhone and Android versions.
Themed Tournament Days
No matter whether you’re playing poker on an iPad, PC or Mac, you’ll be able to take advantage of a number of interesting PKR promotions. And one of these promos includes “Themed Days,” which allows players to enjoy specialized tournaments on certain days.
Bounty Wednesdays and Deep Stack Fridays are the two Themed Days going on right now. Bounty Wednesdays give players an opportunity to compete against Team PKR Pros in a wide range of tournaments. Bust one of the PKR Pros and you’ll be collecting a big tournament ticket! Deep Stack Fridays feature 17 different tourneys, where starting chip stacks are given a huge boost. Buy-ins range from $1 - $20 in the Deep Stack events, so anybody can participate.
PKR Live 2013
If live poker tournaments are your thing, then PKR Live 2013 should definitely interest you. This event will be held in London’s luxurious Aspers Casino from March 29th-31st, 2013, and the prize pool is going to be worth at least $150,000 – if not more. Those interested in this tourney can either pay the $500 direct buy-in, or compete for both $500 and $800 PKR Live prize packages; the latter package covers both the $500 Main Event buy-in and $300 in travel/spending expenses.
PKR are offering satellites and lotteries that lead to the prize packages. Poker satellites start at just $1 or 750 Player Points, and go up to the $100 Final. Lotteries start at the $0.60 Stage 1, and go up to the $50 Lottery Final.
With plenty of tournament options and a new mobile app, PKR is definitely worth considering – especially since you can get the 30% PKR rakeback deal through RakeTheRake.
