2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Satellites are now running

Many poker players dream of competing for millions of dollars in paradise. And you can make these dreams a reality now since the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) satellites are now up and running.

Satellites start at just $1.10 while there are also Mega Path Satellites available too. The latter is especially significant because Mega Path Satellites cost nothing to enter. Instead, you use your Frequent Player Points (FPPs) for the buy-in and try to work your way up the ladder. The lowest Mega Path step costs just 10 FPPs, and there are eight levels in all. To find Mega Path tourneys, go to the PokerStars lobby and click the 'Events' > 'PCA' > 'FPP Satellites' tabs.

Those who play in these satellites will be competing for $15,460 PCA prize packages. This amount covers the $10,300 PCA Main Event buy-in along with hotel and travel expenses. Winners will be sent to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas to compete in the 2014 PCA Main Event, which runs from January 5th-13th.

One thing that should definitely be mentioned here is how past prize package winners have done very well in this tournament. "Last year, more than 400 players won their seats to the PCA event online, with 53 cashing and taking home more than $3.5 million between them," said David Carrion, who's the Director of Live Operations for the PCA. "With the Mega Path qualifiers, PokerStars players have six opportunities a week to win a Main Event package to one of the most exciting poker festivals on the planet."

One of the 400 players that Carrion speaks of is Dimitar Danchev. The Bulgarian won a prize package through a $700 satellite at PokerStars and also went on to win the 2013 PCA ME. He collected a giant $1,859,000 payout after topping a 987-player field last year. What's amazing is that there are three other prize package winners who've gone on to capture the ME title in this event's 10-year history!

With these kind of odds, you can't go wrong with trying to win your spot in the 2014 PCA. And the price for playing certainly can't be beat since satellites cost as little as $1.10 or 10 FPPs.
