PokerStars MicroMillions IV pays out over $9.5 Million

It seems like every tournament series that PokerStars holds turns out to be some huge, record-breaking event. And MicroMillions IV was certainly no different in this regard because it smashed records and paid out $9,588,892.

The most impressive mark involved 1,572,760 players buying into the 100 MicroMillions IV tournaments. This easily tops the old record, which saw 1,308,994 players enter MicroMillions III.

Another important mark that MicroMillions IV broke was the most players to enter the Main Event. 68,081 players bought into this year’s ME, which created a $1,361,620 prize pool. The previous record came from MicroMillions II, where 65,053 grinders bought into the ME.

The MicroMillions IV Main Event was definitely quite a tournament – especially when a five-way deal was made at the end. Belarusian poker player ‘Ges26’ benefited the most from this deal after collecting $140,469. Several other players did quite well too, as you can see from the final table results below (+ denotes players in deal):

After looking at the top five prizes, keep in mind that these players only paid $20 to enter the MicroMillions IV Main Event. In the case of Ges26, he earned over 7,000 times his original buy-in!

Interestingly enough, Ges26 finished nowhere near the top of the MicroMillions Leaderboard. Instead, Uruguay’s ‘ESTRATEGA 18” claimed the top spot thanks to five tournament cashes and 485 leaderboard points; his prize was a $5,200 SCOOP 2013 seat.
