Americas Cardroom simplifies Rakeback System
By RTR Dennis
For the past couple of years, Americas Cardroom has remained one of the premier US-friendly online poker destinations. Not only does this site offer some of the game’s biggest events – such as the recent $1.3 million GTD Mini Online Super Series – but ACR also allows RakeTheRake players to collect the 27% rakeback deal.
The rakeback is especially nice because it cuts down cash game and tournament rake fees by almost a third of the regular amount. Even still, there’s been one reoccurring complaint about the Americas Cardroom rakeback deal. This being said, let’s look at the complaint and discuss how ACR recently came up with a great solution to this problem.
Combat Points Problem
Given out through the Elite Benefits Program, Combat Points allow players to buy store merchandise and earn cash bonuses at Americas Cardroom. Obviously this is a good thing because you’re getting extra ACR rewards with these points.
However, we should also mention that ACR used to deduct Combat Points from rakeback, which confused and inconvenienced many players. After all, you would get a reduced rakeback payment along with points that either had to be spent in the store or cashed out. So players basically had to sort through two different sets of rewards.
The Solution
In order to cut down on the previously described confusion, Americas Cardroom rakeback players will no longer receive Combat Points. This means no more deductions, no having to sort through various rewards, and bigger weekly rakeback payments. Now that ACR has changed the way they distribute benefits, here’s an overview of how things will be done now:
- Any Combat Points that were previously earned will still be available to spend in the ACR store.
- Rakeback players no longer get Combat Points.
- Weekly rakeback payments will be larger.
- Bonuses will continue being deducted from gross rakeback.
With a simplified rakeback system and tons of big events and promotions, Americas Cardroom is definitely worth trying if you haven’t already signed up here.
