Americas Cardroom’s Online Super Series 2 is Smashing Success!

Last month, Americas Cardroom ran the second installment of their Online Super Series. Dubbed “Online Super Series II,” this event featured 82 tournaments and $1 million in guaranteed cash. Interestingly enough, OSS II smashed the original guarantee to deliver $1,308,702 to players.

Most of the 82 tourneys in this series either met the guarantee, or paid out far more than the stated amount. The average OSS II tournament featured a $16,000 prize pool, while $100k, $150k and $200k guaranteed events were throwing into the mix as well. After seeing his site deliver one of the most impressive tournament series in the industry, ACR spokesman Michael Harris stated:

As Harris alluded to, “WiVil” took down the $200,000 Guaranteed event and earned the largest single prize in OSS II. But it’s also worth mentioning that WiVil won OSS II Event #63 ($2,775) and took third in OSS II Event #53 ($1,650); these strong finishes propelled WiVil to the leaderboard title and a sterling silver bracelet.

Going back to the overall guaranteed amount, what wasn’t included in the $1.3m was a $75,000 Beast tournament, which ran on the OSS II schedule. So essentially, it was like this tourney series offered nearly $1.4 million in guaranteed money.
