Sky Poker launching £250k UK Online Poker Series

From October 28th to November 4th, 2012, Sky Poker will bring back their popular UK Online Poker Series, and RakeTheRake players will definitely be excited to learn that the UKOPS is offering a record £250,000 prize pool. This £250k will be spread out over the course of 24 different tournaments – with the most notable being a £50,000 Main Event on November 4th. There’s going to be a lot happening in this tourney series so let’s continue discussing the details below.

Bounties, High Rollers and More
Variety definitely won’t be lacking in the UKOPS because there are several different types of tournaments. For starters, a £530 High Roller event will run on November 1st, and the buy-in is well worth it because a £25,000 guaranteed prize pool is up for grabs.

There are several Bounty Hunter tournaments that’ll be featured in this series too. In fact, the UKOPS kicks off with a £20,000 bounty on October 28th. If bounties or high rollers aren’t your thing, also keep in mind that Sky Poker will offer both Double Stack and rebuy tournaments during this event as well.

TV Coverage
Those interested in earning a little glory along with their winnings will be pleased to know that the UKOPS is going to be covered by Sky Poker TV. After each night of the event, Channel 861 will recap all of the day’s tournaments and profile winners. Plus Sky Sports is covering the £530 High Roller tournament from 10:00pm to 12:00pm GMT. Main Events
The final day of the UKOPS will offer two different Main Events. The headliner is the Day 8 £50,000 Main Event (£220 buy-in), while low stakes players can enjoy the Day 8 £10,000 Mini Main Event (£33 buy-in).
